Monday 29th November 2010 - Brighton

What a lovely start to the day! Kati (an absolute star) brings me tea and for those that know me... This is heavenly!

Driving to the train station there appears to be this shiny thing in the sky and being from Scotland, I have no idea what it is. Kati's assures me it isn't the end of the world and is in fact just "the sun" which I actually thought was a myth, kind of like the perfect man :P (just kidding, don't freak out people)

Now normally I don't like it when trains are delayed but today, 2 train delays worked out perfectly for me to catch the trains I needed to transport me to that magical world (similar to Narnia) that is: Queuing outside in the freezing cold with a bunch of people, slightly less nutty than myself (so I'm told) but equally as hyper! (Try it... It's awesome)

Queuing from 9am today (there are some crazy people like Lisa and Tanya who queue at a ridiculous hour like 5am. Now for those who don't know... 5am is when the crazy cheese selling, drug taking, angel loving people come out for a chat about reincarnation... Cool huh?) So after standing for 7 hours and hot chocolate and sweets appear (a gift from the band) Much required at this point to warm the cockles of our souls which were frozen many hours before.

6.15pm and excitement is building, doors are supposed to open in 15 minutes but suddenly who appears... Vicki. Do we want to work for the band today? Hell yeah!... Excited.com

So backstage we go (Tanya, Chloe, Sian, Leeanne and myself) a quick hello from Tomo. Up the stairs and past 30 Seconds to Mars' dressing rooms. More stairs and into the catering hall... Free tea! A much longer hello from Tomo (who thinks it is appropriate to call us freaks... And that is before we have our costumes on) What an absolute charmer! Shannon appears, a quick hello, tells us we are awesome and without any name calling... How sweet! Okay people, its costume time... Ah damn, I'm dressed in a full gorilla suit (Chloe - Scary Clown, Tanya - Wolf, Sian - Bald monster thing, Leeanne - Creepy vampire type thing) Given our instructions and off we go into the crowd to warm them up and make them dance... Crap it's hot under this thing!

Funeral Party... Bounce bounce "c'mon people, let's go!"

Enter Shikari... Bounce bounce bounce... Mosh pit, elbow in my gorilla nose, Tanya loses some Wolf teeth... Bounce bounce bounce... Aaaaaand rest! Water! *slurp, gulp, slurp*

30 Seconds to Mars - Time to really work this crowd! Here is the Setlist:

Night of the Hunter

What a night. An absolutely unforgettable night.

Off to the hotel, 2 hours sleep and now next stop London O2 arena... See you there! Xx

Travelling: woes and pro's

Today (1st day on the Mars adventure) began just like any other travel day; lack of sleep, up early and panic over last stage packing. Then once all is settled you look out the window and "oh crap" Its whiteout city. So what then... Stress, panic, worry. Finally after much planning and wishing and hoping and sheer luck, I make it safely to the airport. Now what? Tea baby. That's right, tea to unwind, de-stress and cos it tastes so damn great.

1 hour passes and I'm through security and at my boarding gate only to look out the window and see fresh, heavy snow. Everything stops... Grrrr!

So here we are, 90minutes of sitting on a plane, a fairly treacherous take off, passing out and waking up upon landing... I'm in London. Woooooot I actually made it (incidentally turns out that my airport closed for 6hrs just after my flight left. Lucky huh?)

Well after a long day, it's time to grab that early night that; like a healthy diet; always seems to evade me. Tomorrow will begin the real test and I am sure that even when madness descends upon me once more, I shall still manage to tweet and blog the real story behind life in my head... Scary ;-)

Good luck

New tour

So here we are again, tour time. End tour this year in the UK. However there is a big difference this time... It's now called the Hurricane tour instead of into the wild... Weird!

Anyway, just a quick hello to introduce the tour. So hello *waves* and goodbye *waves* See you on the road...

*walks away singing "on the road again, I just can't wait to be on the road again"*
